4th National Conference on Science Policy and the Environment: Water for a Sustainable and Secure Future The National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) is holding the 4th National Conference on Sciences, Policy and the Environment: Water for a Sustainable and Secure Future on January 29-30, 2004 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington DC. Agriculture as a Producer and Consumer of Energy The Farm Foundation in conjunction with the USDA off ice of Energy Policy and New Uses will host a meeting 'Agriculture as a Producer and Consumer of Energy', June 24-25, 2004 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Arlington VA. This conference is designed to establish a baseline of information on the current status of agriculture as a producer and consumer of energy. Commissioned papers will provide a survey of current knowledge. Selected papers will complement and supplement the commissioned papers. Selected papers will be organized around Agricultures role as an energy producer and Agriculture's role as an energy consumer.
