Action: Recommends approval contingent upon revision to meet the reviewers' concerns. The revised proposal to be submitted to MAC for final approval. The proposal was well-written and clearly demonstrated interdependency. MAC felt that the concerns raised by the reviewers should be seriously addressed, but not hold or delay the approval of this proposal. The reviewer's comments seek to enhance and strengthen the methodology of the project.

    Action: Recommends approval.

  4. Review of Mid-Term Reports and Recommendations:

MAC noted the report and lauded the advisor and technical committee for being on track with the project.

  5. Discuss Future of Following Projects:
Note: These projects were initiated in 2000/2001 in response to requests from stations to have integrated multistate activities with which they can link their Hatch projects to help account for the 25% multistate integrated activities required in the AREERA and POW. The nature of the Hatch projects were indeed multistate and integrated but for reporting purposes they needed to be linked to multistate activities. Are they still needed and relevant in the next round of POW?

This will be discussed in detail with the NERA directors. The directors will be asked, prior to the NERA meeting, if these multistate projects are useful for their reporting purposes.

  6. Final Recommendations of the NRSP Review Committee

Ballots will be distributed to each of the Station Directors at the NERA meeting. Voting on the recommendations will take place at the ESS Meeting on Sept. 26, Monday afternoon.
