- Request to approve a Request to Write a Proposal entitled, "Biological
Control of Arthropod Pests and Weeds" 01-2008 to 2013.

Action: Recommends approval. The committee noted that the full proposal should clearly demonstrate interdependency and the need for a collaborative research.
- Request to approve a Request to Write a Proposal entitled, "Postharvest Biology of Fruit" 10-2008 to 2013.

Action: Recommends approval.
- Request to approve a Request to Write a Proposal entitled, "Biological Improvement, Habitat Restoration, and Horticultural Development of Chestnut by Management of Populations, Pathogens, and Pests." 10-2008 to 2013.

Action: Recommends approval.
- Request to approve the proposal, NE_temp1302: "Collaborative Potato Breeding and Variety Development Activities to Enhance Farm Sustainability in the Eastern US" 10-2007 to 2008. Submitted by Kirby Stafford III (CTNH).
Action: Recommends approval.

- Review of Northeast multistate research portfolio
ED Dan Rossi shared a preliminary analysis in a spreadsheet showing the active Northeast multistate projects that are addressing the priorities identified during his station visits. He will revise the list to show those that do not
fall under any of these priorities. The committee recognized the importance of conducting this exercise to determine whether our portfolio is meeting the needs of the region, and to serve as a guide for reviewing proposals.

An Extension Director has been approached and we are waiting for confirmation.
- Other business
Tom Burr briefly reported some changes that are forthcoming in relation to the structure of IR-4.
